ROMACTED - Second National Advisory Meeting

On October 11, 2019, the second National Advisory Meeting within the ROMACTED programme was organized in Podgorica. The meeting was attended by representatives of the municipalities involved in the program, facilitators, experts hired by the Council of Europe, as well as representatives of state institutions and international organizations. Also, members of the ROMACTED team from Strasbourg and Podgorica were present at the meeting.
The previous and planned activities of the Institutional Working Groups (IWG) and Community Action Groups (CAG) were presented at the meeting. The executive director of our organization and focal point in the program, Samir Jaha, actively participated in the discussion as a moderator. In addition, the results of the analysis of the services provided to the Roma and Egyptian communities were presented at the meeting, as well as the findings of the situation analysis that was done in each municipality covered by the program.
The ROMACTED program is a joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe and includes 8 Montenegrin municipalities: Bar, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Herceg Novi, Niksic, Podgorica, Tivat, and Ulcinj. The program is implemented by the Program Office of the Council of Europe in Podgorica and the NGO Young Roma.
