Info session in primary school ''Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin''

Members of the NGO ''Young Roma'' team visited primary school ''Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin'' on Friday, 7th June 2019. Students, members of the working group ''Voice to students!'', formed within the project ''United we reach more – Voice to students, support to workers!'' joined the team members in this visit.
''Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin'' is the school with the highest number of Roma and Egyptian pupils in Montenegro. In total, 43% of pupils in school are Roma and Egyptian, while 42 pupils finished primary education in this school year. The school is therefore recognised as long-term partner and significant actor in the process of education of Roma and Egyptians. Info session was used as opportunity to get to know students of final grades as well as their thoughts and wishes related to continuation of their education. The session was as well attended by the school principal Ljubinka Nedić and mediators in education. They introduced participants with various important information and suggestions related to education of Roma and Egyptian students. Also, NGO ''Young Roma'' presented their work to participants of the session, as well as ongoing projects and activities.
New information and feedback from the principal, mediators and students are of great importance for further activities of our organisation, possibilites of future cooperation, as well as for creation of recommendations in the field of education by the members of the working group ''Voice to students!''.
