Organised meeting of Coalition Together for the inclusion of Roma and Egyptians

The second meeting of the Coalition Together for the Inclusion of Roma and Egyptians was held prior the national conference on education, which will be held on 13th of November 2017 and organised by Coalition in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Montenegro and the Roma Education Fund . Meeting was organised on 12.11.2017 in Hotel Aurel in Podgorica. The aim of the meeting was to exchange information between members of the Coalition, with a special focus on the field of education.

The meeting was opportunity to discuss the activities of each member of the Coalition, both current and planned activities. The NGO Young Roma announced a small grants competition, a campaign for the president of the municipality, but also informed the participants about the conclusions from the regional meeting held in Tirana and the deadlines for reporting. In the second part of the meeting, the agenda of the national conference on education was analyzed and problems in that area were considered. Each of the present organizations provided comments from its domain of work, and highlighted the key recommendations that must be initiated before representatives of institutions in order to encourage their work.

The mentioned meeting, are implemented within the project "Joint Initiative for Empowering the Roma Civil Sector in the Western Balkans and Turkey", which is supported by the European Commission. The project is coordinated by the organization Roma Active Albania and ERGO Network from Brussels, while NGOs Young Roma participate as a partner organization from Montenegro.
