Meeting with the representatives of Association of Egyptians in municipality Tivat

Representatives of NGO Young Roma on 21.10.2016. held a meeting with the representatives of Association of Egyptians in Tivat Dzafer Brahimi and Ljuljeta Baljaj Vuckovic. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the activities that both NGO Young Roma and Association of Egyptians are conducting, and which are related to improvement of situation of the Roma and Egyptian population in Montenegro.

 At the meeting we particularly discussed the activities that NGO Young Roma implemented under the project ,, Joint initiative to empower Roma civil society in the Western Balkans and Turkey" in which the Association of Egyptians is included as a member of an informal coalition of organizations dealing with the inclusion of Roma in Montenegro. In conversation with representatives of the Association we provided them with all the necessary information related to public call for small grants, which was announced as part of this project.

Since the Association of Egyptian is the only organization in Tivat dealing with education of Roma children and their inclusion in the education system, representatives of Association were invited to atend a meeting on which the other representatives of Roma and pro Roma civil sector wil discuss the difficulties that Roma and Egyptian communities face and will work on the development of joint solutions to address them.
