Public call for 2 trainers on democracy and human rights

NGO Young Roma, Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro and the Coalition Roma Circle published call for 2 trainersto conduct training for 20 activists from the Roma and Egyptian population on basics of democracy and human rights.
Trainings are organized within the project "Strengthening public activism of Roma - United we reach more!" which is supported by the European Union through the EU Delegation in Montenegro.
Training should encompass the following topics:
- Basis of democracy: democratic values, forms and types, power structures, contemporary political systems;
- Human rights advocacy with particular emphasis on the advocacy for minority rights: international and national legislation for human rights protection, international, national and local institutional systems, targeting responsible authorities, methods and types of action.
Prescribed criteria:
- At least 5 years of experience in the promotion of democratic principles and human rights;
- Thorough knowledge of the legislative framework for the protection of human rights;
- Knowledge of the situation and challenges in the area of inclusion of Roma and Egyptian communities;
- Preferable experience in working with non-governmental and international organizations for the protection of human rights;
- Preferable experience in working with vulnerable groups, particularly the RE community.
Job description:
- Developing training curriculum in collaboration with the project team;
- Conducting training;
- Evaluation of training participants;
- Submitting report on the training.
