Meeting with President of the Municipality of Herceg Novi

Executive Director of the NGO Young Roma, Mr Samir Jaha and Mr Džafer Tahiri, a member of the Board of Directors at D.O.O. Cleanliness - Herceg Novi met with the President of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, Mr Nikola Gojković and Deputy President, Ms Tamara Vujović.

The meeting was organized to review the implementation of the Local Action Plan for Roma integration, with special emphasis on employment and education of the Roma community. One of the discussion points was also further work and sustainability of the office Roma Centre, which was opened in 2006 in cooperation between Municipality and the NGO Young Roma.

During the discussion, current activities of the NGO Young Roma were presented, while meeting delegates exchanged information regarding the progress in the implementation of the action plan. The new leadership of the Municipality expressing willingness to cooperate and pointed out that it would provide necessary support to the activities of our organisation.
